Blonde Hair Extensions - Tips, Methods and Advice For Applying and Buying Hair Extensions

!±8± Blonde Hair Extensions - Tips, Methods and Advice For Applying and Buying Hair Extensions

One of the most transformational ways to improve or change your look is with a new hairstyle or color. Even more dramatic is to lengthen short or add highlights to long hair. Hair extensions are a quick and economical way to enhance your style with highlights or length addition. I have over 20 years experience as a professional hair stylist and deal with dozens of clients each week. I get most excited about the transformation blonde hair extensions (or other shades) provide. My goal is to help people with practical solutions for them to look their best.

I have seen first-hand how happy my clients are when they have decide to add hair extensions in their hair. With the new technology available, you can now transform yourself in minutes without damaging your hair! Understanding the different methods that are used is important, as you will want to utilize the technique that works best for you. I will go into the most popular methods later on in this page. Please read on, you may turn into a hair extension addict like so many other women around the world have!

Some women have very thin hair and want more volume, others have short hair and are looking for a dramatic enhancement to their style. Many have seen the damaging effects of over-coloring their hair can have and are looking for a safe alternative. Extensions can provide outstanding highlighting results without damaging your hair. Below I have summarized the advantages of and different methods of extension applications, as well as my personal recommendations.

Blonde Hair Extensions (and other shades) provide:

Flexibility - Change hair color highlights yourself very quickly Save money with less trips to salon (do it your self) Transform your look Style and color the hair extensions to enhance your natural hair There are many different methods and types of hair extensions available. Below I have outlined four of the most popular methods and pro/cons of each one. As a general rule, stay away from any kind of synthetic hair extensions. These will look the least natural, wear out quickly, and cannot be colored to your liking. They are less expensive but, in my opinion, are not worth the price.

Method 1 Clip-Ons -

Professional clip-on extensions have dramatically improved in the last few years by using secure, long lasting weave/snap-on clips and human hair. You can now get professional human hair clip-ons that can be applied quickly, are very economical, and look fantastic! Human hair clip-ons can be bought in different shades and can be colored and styled to match your existing hair. I have numerous clients every week using these type of extensions with incredible results that look natural. They can be applied yourself or by your stylist. With the new professional type clips, you DO NOT need to take them out every night. They stay firmly attached to your hair until you are ready to change your style.

Method 2 Micro-ring (Loop)

Micro-rings are extensions that are woven into your hair by looping existing hair into the extension rings. This takes more time than the clip-ons (about 2-4 hours for a full set) and can be difficult to apply yourself. You feel some discomfort for the first day due to the tight weaving, but get used to it after that. You can get good, natural results from this type of extension, but not significantly better than clip-ons.

Method 3 Fusion (Glue-in)

This method uses individual strands of hair that are attached by glue adhesive. Typically you will need a salon technician to attach them, with the cost into thousands of dollars. Also, you need to have them renewed every few months. You can get very natural looking results from this method. Over time, there is a risk of damaging your hair from the adhesive product and renewal process. If you are interested in this method, be sure to do thorough research on the technician that is applying them and look for references from existing clients.

Method 4 Sewn-in Wefts

These are wefts of extensions that are sewn into your natural hair by a salon technician. This can be very expensive, time consuming and I have heard that they are also painful and uncomfortable to wear. Do you research on these before you try them.

Recommendations

Of these methods, I recommend most of my clients to use Method 1 - Human hair clip-on extensions. This is the most natural, flexible option for the money with no risk of hair damage. In the long run, it will reduce the visits to the salon and will allow a change in hair style when the mood strikes you.

Buying Extensions

As I mentioned earlier in this page, it is important that you buy your hair extensions from a reputable company that sells quality products. You want your extensions to look great and last a long time. I have seen bad products that look great when first worn, but fade or get kinky curls after one wash. This will just cause frustration and more expense out of your pocket. By investing in a good quality product, you can have blonde hair extensions that you can use over and over again with no problems.

Secrets of Remy Hair Extensions Reviews Exposed!

!±8± Secrets of Remy Hair Extensions Reviews Exposed!

With the increasing demand for Remy hair extensions, many women have expressed a desire to buy them. Celebrities with these types of beauty products have significantly increased the popularity of these new modern-day accessories. Reading the many reviews in regards to these new hair additions is ideal for a woman since it allows them to determine the experiences other women have had with a particular brand or specific manufacturer of Remy hair extensions. For example, a woman should look for reviews on Remy hair with a weft that is handmade, as opposed to machine made since handmade wefts tend to lie flatter and more smoothly against a woman's head.

Secondly, when reading these types of reviews, it will be imperative for a woman to educate herself about the different qualities of Remy. In doing so, she will be able to determine if she is buying authentic Remi hair. The primary defining characteristic of the product is the fact that the cuticle is kept intact during the harvesting process. In doing so, it enables the hair to reflect natural light which contributes to its lustrous appearance and additional shine. The synthetic counterparts of these hair extensions are stripped of their cuticles and coated in silicone to give it artificial shine but this silicone layering quickly wears off and leads to tangling.

Reading reviews on Remy hair also allows a woman to determine what type of hair extensions she will need to purchase depending upon the natural characteristics of her hair. Also, depending upon the region from which the hair was sourced, it will have different characteristics due to the ethnic differences of each region. For example, Malaysian hair tends to be rather straight and thick, but it does have a slight natural wave to it when it has been washed and air dried. It is also possible to purchase Remy hair extensions that have been processed to mimic the natural characteristics of a woman's hair meaning the use of color or adding bouncy curls.

In the Remy hair extensions reviews a woman reads, she should note whether or not the manufacturer of the hair extensions offers a fair return policy or not. After all, a woman wants to ensure that the product they purchase is full of body and soft rather than being stringy or dry. She must also take care of them to ensure that they are in prime condition to minimize the amount of damage that could possibly cause.

Sewn in Hair Extensions - To Weave or Not

!±8± Sewn in Hair Extensions - To Weave or Not

Many women wish to have long and flowing hair, but some women still struggle to obtain the long look no matter how long they have allowed their hair to grow. Because of this fact they can easily use hair extensions to help them easily achieve the look that would like to have. Despite if you have curly or thin hair you are still able to successfully use hair extensions. Sew in extensions are an example that you can utilize your wanted look.

These can also be referred to weave hair extensions as well. Much like the name suggests these extensions are easily sewn into or even braided into the hair on your scalp. Braiding tracks into your natural hair is the first step to fixing the extensions. The tracks that are used can also be curved, horizontal and even vertical based on the way the head contours. A good stylist will be able to successfully blend the hair tracks in such a way to your natural hair so that it goes undetected.

One of the biggest pros to using sewn in hair is the fact that you can quickly achieve your desired long locks in a relatively short amount of time instead of having to try and patiently wait months for your natural hair to grow out on its own. Those long flowing locks can be yours just as fast as your stylist can sew them in. Utilizing these extensions does not require you to make a drastic change to your appearance. Simply put this means that your hair can remain braided despite your daily use of styling tools such as a curling iron or flat iron. If you suffer from hair loss then you can rest assure that these are a great way to help you once again feel confident.

Now, if they are not applied in the appropriate manner then it can make for a rather disastrous appearance. Possible hair pulling can occur when the hair extensions are being applied and naturally this can lead to some type of pain or discomfort. This can also cause some of your hair to be damage. It can also be bad if you do not take proper care of your extensions and if you or your stylist are not careful when they are being applied because this can not only cause damage to your natural hair but to the extensions as well. Naturally cost of these variety of extensions and the amount you may be required to pay your stylist can also be a potential con.

In conclusion, it will be in your best interest to speak with your stylist about how they will be applying the sewn in extensions!
